About us

The Association for Radio Astronomy in Education aims to
encourage and support the use of radio telescopes in post-15
education in physics, astronomy and technology related subjects

The ARAE was officially formed in 2000 and originated from the
Taunton Radio Astronomy Observatory, Somerset, England.
It now operates as a registered charity (number 1085125) under
the auspices of a committee of trustees chaired
by Dr Paul Scott of MRAO Cambridge

ARAE works to transfer the knowledge and skills offered through
the science of radio astronomy into the educational environment.
